Florence Corte

Corte, Florence C. (Durand), 92, died December 3, 2015 at Hopkins Manor. She was the wife of the late John J. Corte. Born in Smithfield, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Lea (Patient) Durand.

Florence was retired from A.T. Cross. She was a communicant of Mary, Mother of Mankind Church and was an avid bingo player. Formerly, she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Georgiaville Fire Department and the Ave Maria Guild.

She is survived by two daughters, Janet Mooney and her husband Joseph of North Providence, Debra Boisvert and her husband Bradley of Albany, NH, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Susan Mariotti and sister of the late J. Walter, Camille, Albert, Leo, Lea, Erene Durand and Emma Morvan.

Her funeral will be held on Monday at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St., North Providence. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Calling hours Sunday 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
