Flora A. Carbone

Flora A. (DeFusco) Carbone, 96, of North Providence, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025.  She was the wife of the late Anthony J. Carbone, Sr.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Anna (Cuculo) DeFusco. 

Flora was a retired director for the North Providence Housing Authority, a trustee and chairperson of the North Providence Union Free Library from 1971 - 1995, as well as a retired member of St. Ann's Sodality of Our Lady of Grace Church. She was an avid reader and a lifelong NY Yankees fan. In Flora's later years, she enjoyed making puzzles and spending time with her neighbors on Swan Court.

Flora is survived by her sons, Anthony J. Carbone, Jr., and David F. Carbone, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Robert and Fred DeFusco.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 8:15-9:15 AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston.  Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
