Evelyn Viscolosi

Evelyn Ann (DiBenedetto) Viscolosi, 88, of Johnston, RI died Friday, April 28, 2023 at Lincolnwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center of North Providence.

Evelyn was the beloved wife of the late Louis A. Viscolosi, Jr., to whom she was married to for 67 years.  A lifetime resident of Johnston, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Luigia (DiMichele) DiBenedetto.

Evelyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She loved planting, tending to her flowers/yard, and drawing. Her smile was infectious, and known to all who had the pleasure of

meeting her. Evelyn doted on her family and was always there when the need arose. She especially loved animals and children, and it was evident they loved her too.

She is survived by her daughter Lori A. (Viscolosi) Lovelace (Rey G.) and her late son, David L. Viscolosi (Sandra Bradley), grandsons Rey L. Lovelace and Justin M. Viscolosi, the late David L. and Michael D. Viscolosi, great grandaughters Isabella E. Lovelace and Sophia A. Lovelace, great-grandson Rey L. Lovelace Jr., great-great grandaughter Luna G. (Lovelace) Houston. Evelyn was the sister of the late Lawrence DiBenedetto, Palma Fetta, Michael DiBenedetto, Frances Buonaccorsi, Frank DiBenedetto, and Harry DiBenedetto.  She is survived by her dear sister-in-law, Elaine DiBenedetto, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston on Friday, April 5, 2023 at 10 am.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children’s Friend & Services, 153 Summer St., Providence, RI 02903 or at https://www.cfsri.org/make-a-donation/
