Evelyn Isles

Isles, Evelyn (Wood), 89, died June 30, 2011 at the Hebert Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Gilbert J. Isles. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Clement and Margaret (Gaskin) Wood.

Evelyn had worked for the A. T. Cross Company of Lincoln for 22 years before retiring. A communicant of St. Alban's Church, she also served on the Altar Guild and was the former church organist and choir director. She was also a member of the Happy Notes for 20 years.

She leaves a son, Donald G. Isles and his wife Christine of Barrington, a daughter, Robin M. O'Reilly and her husband George of Greenville, six grandchildren and eleven great- grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the ROBBINS FUNERAL HOME, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence followed by a Requiem Eucharist at 11 am in St. Alban's Church. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Alban's Church Memorial Fund, 1964 Smith St., North Providence, RI 02911.
