DiChiaro, Evelyn A. “Toots” (Tremblay), 89, formerly of Greenville, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at North Bay Manor. She was the beloved wife of Ernest A. DiChiaro for 69 years. Born in Lowell, MA, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Beatrice (Sauvageau) Tremblay.
Evelyn worked for Lee’s Manufacturing for many years before retiring. She was a member of St. Jude Society, and enjoyed Bingo and tap dancing.
She was the loving mother of Janice Oliver of North Providence, Cheryl Contillo of Glocester, and Charles DiChiaro, Sr. of Woonsocket. She also leaves two sisters, Claire Morris of North Providence and Rita Generali of Greenville, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was sister of the late Raymond, Lionel, and Maurice Tremblay, Marion DiChiaro and Theresa Krause.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:45 AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Agnes Church, 100 Chatham St, Providence. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours are Sunday 2-5 PM.
