Eugene Leveille

Leveille, Eugene F. 89, died Sunday June 3, 2018 at the Golden Crest Nursing Centre. He was the husband of the late Dorothy B. (Pezzullo) Leveille for 57 years. Born in Smithfield, he was a son of the late Eugene and Rita (Senecal) Leveille.

Eugene was a volunteer firefighter for both the Graniteville and Georgiaville Fire Stations for many years. He sang in the choir for the former St. Lawrence Church. Eugene enjoyed playing golf, bowling, hunting and fishing. Gene and Dottie were known to be the life of the party. He was well known as “Gene, Gene, The Dancing Machine”. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.

He is survived by three children, Paula J. Vendetuoli of North Providence, Mary Ann Hardt of Johnston and Ronald J. Leveille of Cambridge, MA, five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Doris Bishop, Janet Peterson, Clifton, Robert and Arnold Leveille.

His funeral will be held Thursday, June 7th, 2018 at 9AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours Wednesday 4-7PM. In lieu of flowers, the family request to make a donation in his memory of their choice.
