Ethel Seamans

Seamans, Ethel E. (Breitenstein), 90, of Johnston, died peacefully on September 29, 2016 at home. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Abbie Frances (Eddy) Breitenstein.

Before retiring, Ethel worked for the Providence Journal in the classified advertising department for 30 years, where she was known as "Miss Shaw". A one-of-a-kind lady, she was generous and loving. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, her home, her cats, and most of all, her family.

Ethel was the devoted mother of Donald Seamans of Smithfield and Joan Bundy of Warwick, mother in law of Roy Bundy, grandmother of Tracy Martinez, Derek Bundy, and Vanessa Bundy, and great-grandmother of Nico and Luca. She was the sister of the late Carleton and Arthur Breitenstein and Doris Silva.

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Calling hours Monday 4-7 pm.
