Estella Laplante

Laplante, Estella M. (Randle), 81, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on August 4, 2011. She was the wife of the late Raymond L. Laplante. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Richard T. and Mary E. (Phinney) Randle.

Estella worked for Our Lady of Providence Seminary until retiring.

She leaves three children, Norma McCurdy and her husband Michael of Providence, David Laplante and his wife Debbie of Johnston, and Marcia Rapone and her husband Paul of Warwick, seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a brother, C. William Randle, and two sisters, Evelyn Keeler and Edna Jenkins.

Her funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1 pm in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Calling hours Monday 5-8 pm.
