Elsie Robbins

Robbins, Elsie M. (Sharp), 92, of Mineral Spring Ave, died December 10, 2011 in the Roger Williams Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Elliott M. Robbins. Born in and a lifelong resident of Centredale, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Sarah (Marshall) Sharp.

A licensed hairdresser, she was a founder and longtime owner with her late husband of the Elliott M. Robbins Funeral Home. She was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1937, a life member of the Greystone Primitive Methodist Church and a former member of its Puritan Club, and an avid ballroom dancer.

Elsie leaves her daughter Lynne M. Greene and her husband Geoffrey of Saunderstown, a grandson Dr. Jonathan E. Greene and his wife Karen of Hopkinton, a granddaughter Jennifer L. Fagan and her husband Daniel of Wakefield, and a great grandson Brendan D. Fagan. She also leaves a sister Marion McKinley of Bradenton, FL. She was a sister of the late Arthur Sharp.

Her funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 AM in the Elliott M. Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours will be Tuesday 4-8 PM.
