Elsie Jean

St. Jean, Elsie C. (Carreiro), 90, of 20 Higgins St, died September 28, 2013 at Summit Commons. She was the wife of the late Leon D. St. Jean. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Costa) Carreiro.

Elsie had worked for Worcester Textile, then at AT Cross, retiring in 1985.

She is survived by three children, Catherine E. Pierson and her husband Maurice of Seekonk, Janet A. Eberts and her husband Robert of Smithfield, and David L. St. Jean and his wife Janice of Chepachet, three grandchildren, Lisa Renard, Dawn McDermott, and Carrie St. Jean, and four great-grandchildren. She was a sister of the late Florence Holton, Hilda Motta, and Joseph Corte, and sister-in-law of Arleen Malo.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Michael Church, Georgiaville. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Calling hours Tuesday 4-7 PM.
