Jasparro, Eleanor (Minasian), 88, of Village at Waterman Lake, Greenville, a resident of Johnston for most of her life, died March 10, 2010 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the wife of the late Domenic Jasparro. Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Seth and Jennie (Lombardo) Minasian.
A 1942 graduate of the nursing program at Newport Hospital, Eleanor worked as a registered nurse at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital and Cherry Hill Manor before retiring. She served as an Army nurse overseas during WWII. Her favorite pastime was going to Foxwoods.
She leaves two daughters, Maureen Ciccarone of Johnston and Dorina Dorazio of Glocester, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Dolores Espinoza of CT, Lucille Mancini of Cranston, and Mary Lilli of Providence.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:45 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Eugene Church, Chepachet. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 5-8 pm.
