Fagan, Eileen P., of 150 Stillwater Road, died Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by her family after a month-long illness.
Born in Providence, the daughter of Matthew A. Fagan Sr. of Smithfield and the late Jean Fagan (Charbonneau), she was a resident of Smithfield for 39 years. Eileen was a school teacher for Smithfield High School for 14 years and two years prior at Father Doyle School in Coventry, RI. She was also a CCD teacher at St. Michael Parish. Eileen earned her Bachelors Degree from Stonehill College and her Masters Degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Eileen is survived by two brothers, Matthew A. Fagan, Jr. of Pomfret CT, Michael G. Fagan of Parks, Arizona, and a sister, Karen Sousa of Smithfield. She will be dearly missed by her nieces Anna and Sarah Fagan, Kelsey J. Fagan, Katie Jean Sousa, her nephew DJ Sousa and her great niece Ella R. Sousa.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:00 AM from the Elliott Robbins Funeral Home 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00AM in St. Michael Church, Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours will be Monday 4-8PM.
