Edythe Mccann

McCann, Edythe (Oliveira) 94, died Monday December 23, 2013 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Charles McCann. Born in Lisbon, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late. John J. Oliveira and Prelediana (Frian) Oliveira.

Edythe moved to the United States from Portugal in 1933. She has been a resident of North Providence since 1971. Edythe was an organist for several local area churches for many years before retiring in 1986. She was also senior companion for the Department of Elderly Affairs.

She was the mother of Edith McCann-Carberry of West Palm Beach, FL., Charles T. and the late James R. McCann, 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 1 brother and 2 sisters.

Her services and burial will be private.
