Edward Tobin

Tobin, Edward T., 91, died October 25, 2010 at Riverview Healthcare Community. He was the husband of the late Marion E. (Alarie) Tobin. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Thomas T. and Mary (McGuinn) Tobin.

Edward worked for the former Quonset Point, then for General Dynamics for many years before retiring. He was an Army veteran of WWII.

He leaves three sons, Edward J. Tobin of Providence, Robert J. Tobin of North Scituate, and Peter J. Tobin of Oceanside, CA, three grandchildren, Sean, Kelly, and Stephanie, a brother, Andrew Tobin of Cranston, and a sister, Genevieve D'Jeridi of Arizona. He was the father of the late Michael Tobin and brother of the late John and Robert Tobin.

His funeral service will be held Friday at 10 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial with military honors will follow in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation Friday 9-10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meals on Wheels, 70 Bath St., Providence, RI 02908.
