Edward Cunha

Cunha, Edward C., 74, died September 10, 2011 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the long-term companion of Eileen M. (Hopper) Cook. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Anthony Cunha and Sarah (Cotoia) Cunha.

Edward was self-employed, the owner of E. Cunha Home Improvement for many years before retiring in 2008.

Besides his companion, he leaves two sons, Edward Cunha and his wife Jean (Davenport) and John Cunha, four stepchildren, Robert, Mark and Matthew Cook and Elizabeth Gelardi, two brothers, Anthony Cunha, Jr. and Joseph Cunha, three sisters, Ann Marie Abatiello, Jean Zeilstra, and Joyce Roy, 5 grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 1 step-great grandchild.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 11 am in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Visitation Thursday 9:15-10:15 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence.
