Cambio, Dorothy M. (Medeiros), 98, of North Providence, died on July 10, 2022 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Thomas B. Cambio. Born in East Providence, she was one of eight children of the late Manuel and Maria (Perry) Medeiros.
Dorothy worked as a housekeeper at Rhode Island College in Thorpe Hall for 17 years before retiring in the 1980’s. She loved life and enjoyed cooking for and feeding others. Most of all, she loved her grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Marie Jordan and her partner, Donna Pardo, and Kathleen Parker and her partner, Don Benoit, both of North Providence, five grandchildren, Holly Pedroza and her husband, Eddie Pedroza, Nicholas Cambio and his wife Amie St. Germaine Cambio, Dana Breggia and her husband David Breggia, Jay Parker his wife Jennifer Kalapos Parker and Meghann Parker and her wife Lisa Parker, ten great-grandchildren, Brianni and Kaylee Genao, Gianni, Marisa, and Christian Breggia, Jayden, Jack, and Jenna Parker, Armani Pedroza, and Nicholas Cambio, and three great-great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Nicholas Cambio.
Visitation will be Friday from 8:15-9:15 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
