Mancini, Dorothea V. "Dottie" (Maher), 72, of Vero Beach, FL, formerly of Providence and Burrillville, died September 23, 2013 at the home of her son, Robert. She was the wife of the late William P. Mancini. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late William and Rose (Pesaturo) Maher and stepdaughter of the late Thomas Maher.
Dorothea was a retired employee of the US Department of Justice, US Attorney's Office. She was a member of the Vero Beach Power Squadron and a communicant of St. John of the Cross Church, Vero Beach. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking and decorating and was an avid mahjong and canasta player.
She is survived by two sons, Robert W. Mancini and Michael W. Mancini, a brother, William Maher, and two grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Carolyn Carosi.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial will be private. Calling hours Thursday 5-8 pm.
