Donald Bourassa

Bourassa, Donald F., 77, of Belvedere St, died June 5, 2009 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Viola M. (Cooke) Bourassa for 52 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Aime and Alice (Slader) Bourassa.

Most recently Mr. Bourassa worked as a painter and wallpaperer for his son Ronald at R and K Enterprises. Prior to his retirement he worked for International Display and Davol Rubber. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War.

Besides his wife he leaves his children, Deborah Correa and her husband Richard, Ronald Bourassa and his wife Kathleen, Lynn Kandzerski, Cynthia Pontin, Gerald Bourassa, and Kyle Bourassa and his wife Jennifer, a sister Edna Ianni, 10 loving grandchildren and 3 loving great-grandchildren.

A memorial service, followed by military honors, will be held Thursday at 11 AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, c/o Home and Hospice Care of RI, 169 George St, Pawtucket, RI 02860.
