DiChiaro, Domenic, 97, of Lyman Ave., died October 23, 2015 at Hallworth House. He was the husband of the late Marian J. (Tremblay) DiChiaro. Born in North Providence, he was a son of the late Antonio and Emanuela (Montecalvo) DiChiaro.

Domenic was employed by General Cable of Providence, New England Precision Products, and Electric Boat. He also worked part-time for Loring Studios for many years. Prior to his retirement in 1983, he and his wife Marian delivered for Meals on Wheels until Marian's passing in 1994.

Domenic loved the theater, and as a single man, he traveled with Vaudeville and variety shows, dancing, singing, and performing comedy. Later in life, he and his very loved companion, Margaret, were members of UCT and were excellent ballroom dancers, winning awards at various venues in New England.

He was an active member of Our Lady of Grace Church since the 1940's, belonging to the church choir and the Holy Name Society. He also belonged to the Johnston Senior Center.

Domenic enjoyed gardening and was extremely proud of his vegetable and flower gardens. He loved canning food for his family and friends.

He is survived by two sons, Richard E. DiChiaro of Lincoln and Dennis A. DiChiaro of Virginia, three grandchildren, Kristen DiChiaro Bourgault, Julia DiChiaro Rowe, and Derek DiChiaro, three great-grandchildren, a sister, Irene Lazzareschi, a brother, Ernest DiChiaro, a sister-in-law, Carol DiChiaro, and his loving companion of 18 years, Margaret Patonio. He was the brother of the late Carmella Rainone, Mary Cotoia, Lucy Adessi, Florence Giardino, Joseph, Louis, Anthony, John, and Anna DiChiaro.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10 am in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston, followed by burial in Highland Memorial Park.
