Delor Martin

Martin, Delor E., 76, of Greenville, formerly of the Fox Point section of Providence, died October 18, 2010 at Emerald Bay Manor. He was the husband of Joan (Teixeira) Martin for 52 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Manuel and Mary Isabel (Raposa-Couto) Martin.

Delor was a firefighter for the City of Providence for 32 years before retiring. He also worked in the maintenance department of Miriam Hospital. He was a US Army Veteran.

He was the father of Delor A. Martin and his wife, Gina, Paula Joyce and her husband, Richard, and Claudia Martin. He was the grandfather of Michael, Christyne, Kathryn, and Nicholas; and Eric, Ryan, and Valerie. He was the brother of Georgiana Lucas, Elizabeth Lima, Manuel Martin, and the late George Martin.
