Debra Laplante

Debra A. Laplante (DeCoteau), 66, of Johnston, died on January 10, 2023 at Rhode Island Hospital.  She was the wife of David Laplante.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Theresa (Guertin) DeCoteau.

Debra worked as a bus aide for First Student until recently retiring.  She loved going on cruises and going to Foxwoods Casino with her husband.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Renee Briehof and her husband, Richard Jr. and Michele Horrigan and her husband, Patrick, five grandchildren, and two brothers, Nelson and Richard DeCoteau.  She was the sister of the late Elaine James.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence.  Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.  Calling hours Friday 5-8 pm.
