Ricci, David L., 83, of North Providence, died February 6, 2014 at home. He was the husband of the late Virginia V. (Beccari) Ricci. Born in North Providence, he was a son of the late Giovanni and Antonia (Cafasso) Ricci.
David was a chemist for CIBA-GEIGY until retiring. He was an accordion player, a former grand master of the Knights of Columbus, St. Lawrence Council, and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by two sons, John D. Ricci and his wife Maureen of Smithfield and David Ricci and his wife Jennifer of Cranston, two grandchildren, and a sister, Evelyn Greco. He was the brother of the late John Ricci, Congetta Sorrentino, Mary Luzzi, Pearl Vacca, and Elizabeth Puleo.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St., North Providence. Burial with military honors in Highland Memorial Park. Calling hours Sunday 2-4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
