David Diiorio

DiIorio, David B., 62, died July 19, 2017 at the Hope Hospice and Palliative Care Center. He was the husband of Judy L. Bazzle-DiIorio. Born in Providence, he was a son of Paula E. (Minard) DiIorio and the late Vincent DiIorio. He also leaves his son Anthony Bazzle and was brother of the late Vincent N. DiIorio.

David was a career firefighter for the North Providence Fire Department, Local 2334 from 1985 until 2009, when he retired. He was a member of the Lymansville Volunteer Fire Department and North Providence Fired Department Call System. David had previously been employed by various trucking companies as a member of the Teamsters, Local 251.

David was a member of the North Providence Firefighters Retirees Assn. and the North Providence Firefighters Athletic Assn. He was a proud supporter of the St. Mary’s Home for Children annual Christmas Party and was an avid NY Yankees fan. He also was a beloved uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews and was a lifelong and loyal friend to many.

David’s funeral will be held Saturday at 8:45 AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St., North Providence. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours are Friday 4-8PM.
