Allaire, David Joseph, 59, of Peppermint Lane, died Sunday April 24, 2011 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the fiancée of Donna Smyth Coletta. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Walter J. and Irene E. (Vickers) Allaire. He lived in Smithfield most of his life moving to Johnston in 2005.
Mr. Allaire most recently worked at Zebra Technologies as a technologist, until his illness, previously working at Numark Industries also as a technologist. He was an Antiques dealer which he had a great passion for. He also worked at Foxwoods as a Blackjack dealer, years ago. He was also a volunteer Firefighter for the Town of Smithfield for many years. David was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and also had a passion for fishing.
Besides his fiancée, he is survived by his daughters, Wendi Bernard and Kimbley LeBlanc, two grandchildren, Andrew David Jimmis and Samantha Ashley Jimmis, a great-grandchild, Kaelyn Marie-Jean Cardin, and two brothers, Louis and G. Robert Allaire. He was the former husband of Jean Allaire.
His calling hours will be Friday from 5-8 PM in the ROBBINS FUNERAL HOME, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence, with a prayer service at 7:30 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd. #3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
