Crescenzo Conti

Conti, Crescenzo, 82, of North Providence, RI passed away peacefully on January 3, 2021 under the care of HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center at Miriam Hospital in Providence.  He was born in Warren and lived in Barrington for many years before moving to Smithfield to raise his family.  He was the son of the late Plinio Conti and Colorinda (Raso) DiPierro and stepson of Dominic DiPierro.

He leaves behind his companion, Paulette Pike.

He was the founder and president of Hope General Painting and Condelti Realty.  He was also co-owner of CCFI Realty.  He enjoyed driving his convertible, being by the ocean, hunting, and his German Shepherds.

He is survived by Eleanor (Carcieri) Robinson, his former spouse and mother of his children, Crescenzo Conti and his wife Shannon, David Conti, and Linda Conti-Bovis, all from Smithfield.  Besides his children, he is survived by seven grandchildren; Michael J. Conti and his wife Heidi, Tracey Farrar, Julie Conti, Dylan Conti, Michael A. Conti, Angelica Bovis, and Giorgios Bovis, and four great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brothers, Paul Conti of North Providence, Roger DiPierro of Riverside, Donald DiPierro and Dominic DiPierro Jr., both of Barrington.  He was also the brother of the late Pearl (Conti) DiBiase and the late Letty Ann (Conti) Nuccio.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday at 10 am St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield.  Social distancing and COVID protocols must be followed.  A private burial will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to RI Diabetes Foundation or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
