Cosmo Longo

Longo, Cosmo L., 89, died Saturday January 16, 2016 at the Miriam Hospital. He was the husband of the late Angela (Cardente) Longo. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph and Rochetta (Marra) Longo.

Cosmo enjoyed working in his garden and outdoors. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a Navy veteran of WWII.

He is survived by his three sons, Louis Longo of Foster, James Longo of Johnston, and David Longo of Bradenton, FL, and two grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Frank and Joseph Longo, Mary Nasiatka, Evelyn Pari, Mafalda "Mickey" Belasco and Gilda DelCarpini.

His funeral will be held Wednesday at 10AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins St. Providence. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours Tuesday 5-8PM.
