Cora Hicks

Hicks, Cora B. (Levesque), 91, died December 3, 2016 at Cortland Place Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Robert W. Hicks. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Joseph T. and Cora B. (Michaud) Levesque.

Cora was an inspector at Gorham Manufacturing before retiring. She had volunteered at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital and sang in the choir at the former St. Lawrence Church, Centredale.

She is survived by three daughters, Jean A. Manuppelli and her husband George of North Providence, Maureen C. Casey and her husband Roy of North Providence, and Denise F. Petrangelo and her husband Albert of Cranston, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a sister, Irene Richter of Cranston, and a brother, Raymond Levesque of Rumford. She was the mother of the late William Lemieux, Jr.

Visitation will be held Friday from 8:30 am-10:15 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Augustine Church, Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.
