Colin W. Leath, 95, of Johnston, died on December 17, 2024 at Roger Williams Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Mary (Rector) Leath for 66 years until her passing in 2022. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Wootten) Leath.
Colin was a self-employed electrical contractor and owner of Leath Electric. He had previously worked as an electrical engineer for Federal Products and for Grinnell Corporation. He was an avid HAM radio user, as well as a member of the New England Wireless and Steam Museum.
He is survived by three children, Susan Giarrusso and her husband, Michael, James Leath and his wife, Cheryl, and John Leath and his wife, Susan, two grandchildren, Colin Leath and his wife, Cara, and Emma Leath, and his brother, Kenneth Leath and his wife, Marie. He was the father of the late Thomas Leath and brother of the late Roderick Leath.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2024 from 10-11 am, followed by a service at 11 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HopeHealth Hospice.
