Claire Letourneau

Letourneau, Claire C. (Payette), 85, of Johnston, passed away on April 17, 2020.  She was the wife of Clement D. Letourneau.  Born in Johnston, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Cecelia (Lapointe) Payette.

She had worked for New England Telephone for many years before retiring.  She was an avid Red Sox and 49ers fan and loved to knit sweaters and crochet in her spare time.  She loved hiking, photography, and traveling . Philanthropic in nature, she was involved in many church bazaars and charities.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by ten children, Roland Letourneau, Gerald Letourneau, Diane Stamp, Denise Letourneau, Annette Olney, Jeanne Malone, Therese Letourneau, Paul Letourneau, Stephen Letourneau, and William Letourneau. An adoring grandmother to 25 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

A mother to all who entered her home and a loyal and loving friend to many dear individuals who are forever treasured by her family.

Services and burial in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery will be private.
