Christine Taraborelli of North Providence passed away peacefully at home on September 6th. She was the wife of David Taraborelli, to whom she was married for 45 years, and the daughter of the late John and Yvonne D’Attorro. She was the devoted mother of Dena Santos and John Taraborelli (Michaela Antunes) and grandmother to Daniel Santos, Jr., Devon Santos, and Domenic Santos and step-grandmother to James and Cecilia Conway.. She was the second of three sisters and is survived by her youngest sister, Donna Morris. Christine was also sister-in-law to Rosemarie Conrad. She was the sister of the late Sheila Battey.
Being a mother was Christine’s most cherished role in life. In addition to raising her own children and grandchildren, she relished the opportunity to dote on the children of friends and relatives as if they were her own, serving as godmother to Holly Fiore, and surrogate grandmother to Terek Ahady and Abby Maglio.
Beyond motherhood, Christine’s greatest joys in life were her many trips to Disney World in Florida, first with her children, then grandchildren, and even continuing with only her husband after all the children were grown.
Visiting hours will be at Elliott M. Robbins Funeral Home in North Providence on Sunday, September 11th from 4-7 p.m. Her service will be held on Monday, September 12th at 10 am in the funeral home, followed by burial in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston.
