Catherine Paolino

Paolino, Catherine, 91, passed away at the home of her daughter in Portsmouth on August 29, 2018 while holding the hand of her loving husband. She was the wife of Gerard V. Paolino. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Mathew and Sophia (Gianopoulou) Merambelis.

Catherine was the manager of the former First National Store on Central Avenue in Pawtucket and later worked at Almacs in North Providence until retirement.

Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Nancy Paolino Chrupcala, a son, Gerard V. Paolino, Jr., a granddaughter, Marielle Chrupcala, and two sisters, Mary Coderre and Helen Buco. She was the sister of the late Ann Dillon.

Catherine’s funeral will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 9AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours Tuesday 5-8PM.
