Caroline Laferriere

Laferriere, Caroline V. (Whalen), 84, died Friday November 13, 2015 at Briarcliffe Manor. She was the wife of the late Leo J. Laferriere. Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Bessie (Golembieski) Whalen.

Caroline was a graduate of Bryant College. She taught at the North Providence High School.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Laferriere, a son, Joseph Laferriere, two grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Paul and James Laferriere and sister of the late Louis and Edward Whalen.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Ave., Providence. Calling hours Tuesday 6-8PM. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
