Carole Passano

Passano, Carole S., 81, of Smithfield, passed peacefully on April 1, 2021 with her family by her side.  She was the wife of the late Paul E. Passano, Jr.  Born in Charleston, WV, she was a daughter of the late Archie and Eleanore (Laabs) Johns.

Carole worked for Amica Insurance for forty years before retiring.  She was an avid reader and walker, but most of all, enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Paul Passano and his wife Marcia-Jean Kelley, her daughters, Marion DiLeonardo and her husband Rick and Karla Maciel and her husband George, two grandchildren, Nicole Passano and Jared Passano and his wife Morganna, two great-grandchildren, Lillyanna and Lukas, and two sisters, Rosalie Desautel and Eleanor DiDonato.  She was the sister of the late Charles Johns and Elizabeth Sibley.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield.  Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery.  Calling hours Monday 5-7 pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael Church.
