Brown, Carol A. (Cooper), 74, of North Providence, died Wednesday October 18, 2017 at home. She was the wife of William A. Brown, Sr. Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Ida (Chace) Cooper.
Carol was a custodian for the Providence School Department for many years and was a secretary for AFL-CIO, Council 94. She loved spending time with her family. Carol enjoyed cooking, especially for the holidays, and was famous for her meatballs.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, William Brown, Jr. and his wife Barbara and Thomas Brown and his wife Martha, three grandchildren, William Brown and his wife Kristina, Daniel Brown and Christopher Rivas, three great grandchildren, Michael, David and Alyson, her siblings, Eunice Hughes, Regina Fiontella and Edna Grant and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Thomas Cooper.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, October 24th at 10AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours will be held Monday 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN, 38101.
