Brian Michael Allamby, age 49, passed away suddenly on April 28, 2014, at his home in Washington, D.C. Born on January 30, 1965, he was the son of Donald B. and Dorothy M. (Horiagon) Allamby of North Providence.
Brian was a graduate of St. Augustine's School and LaSalle Academy. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Providence College and a Master of Public Health from Yale University School of Medicine. Brian was a respected health care consultant with 23 years' experience in healthcare strategic, operations, and facility planning. He led innovative and complex projects on 5 continents in 17 countries, including Australia, China, Chile, India, Poland, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. Brian was also an avid gardener and devoted fan of both the Washington Capitals and the Boston Bruins.
In addition to his parents, Brian is survived by his sisters, Catherine Cardon and her husband Paul of Foxborough, MA, and Mary Beth Barkan and her husband Jeffrey of Attleboro, MA. He was the beloved uncle of MaryKate, Megan and Kristen Cardon, and Colin, Caitlin, and Shannon Barkan. Brian's easygoing personality and dry sense of humor will be sadly missed by his family and his many friends and colleagues.
