Blanche Sheers

Sheers, Blanche A. (Chartier), 94, of Putnam Ave., Greenville, died January 24, 2010 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the wife of the late Lawrence A. Sheers.

Born in North Providence, she was the daughter of the late Alfred A. and Adeline M. (Lacerte) Chartier. Blanche was a sewer for the former Esmond Mill and a salesperson for the former W.T. Grant Co. in Providence.

She leaves a daughter, Barbara A. Tessier and her husband, George of Greenville, and two grandchildren, Russell Tessier of Sunderland, MA and Cheril Smith of Smithfield. She was the sister of the late Arthur Chartier.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 10 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Philip Church, Greenville. Graveside burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours Thursday 5-8 pm.
