D'Angelo, Blanche C. (Graichen), 95, of Smithfield, died in the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center on September 8, 2013. She was the wife of the late James D'Angelo. A longtime resident of Smithfield, she was a daughter of the late Wallace and Alvina (Plattier) Graichen.

Blanche was a teacher for the Smithfield School Department for over 25 years before retiring. She was a devoted communicant of St. Michael Church of Georgiaville, a member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary, St. Lawrence Council Knights of Columbus, a member of the Bowling League at Town Hall Lanes in Johnston, and an avid Boston Red Sox fan.

She leaves a son, Thomas E. D'Angelo of Glocester, a daughter, Frances A. Harris, a granddaughter, Stephanie A. Harris and a great grandson Thomas James Blais, all of Smithfield. She was a sister of the late Wallace Graichen and Flora Degidio.

Blanche's funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours are Tuesday, 5-7 pm.
