Benjamin Wade Rogers, formerly a resident of Smithfield, Rhode Island, peacefully passed away in his sleep on July 13, 2024, at the age of thirty-five in Nashua, NH where he resided.
After graduating from Smithfield High School, he worked in the family’s business, Brands Hobby in North Providence and later at General Dynamics Electric Boat as a CNC Laser Operator. Ben loved doing hard skilled work and was a Power Equipment Operator certified on multiple machine operations for the past five years at the Walmart Supply Chain Distribution Center in Raymond, New Hampshire.
Ben loved music, movies, cars, motorcycles, fashions, and reading, but most of all his daughter and family. Although he lived over a hundred miles from his mother and grandparents, not a day went by when he didn’t call them. He cherished friendships and those people he befriended loved him too.
He suffered from anxiety and alcohol addiction for much of his adult life and found it difficult to meet the challenges life brings. However, he put the needs of caring for others before his own, and ironically passed away helping others to seek recovery resources.
Ben is survived by his beloved daughter, Valentina, his parents, Steve Rogers and Alysia Waitt, stepfather Alfred Waitt, grandparents, Andrew and Anna Argenio, aunt Andrea Argenio, brothers Zachary Rogers (Becky), AJ Waitt (Kerri), Spencer Waitt (Miranda), Wade Rogers, cousin Alex Arnold, niece Reneé Rogers, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 7:15- 9:15 am at the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Pius V Catholic Church, 240 Eaton St., Providence. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to the Benjamin Rogers Memorial Fund.
