Jackson, Beatrice (Wilbur Prosser), 90, passed away June 2, 2017 at The Holiday Retirement Home, Lincoln. She was the wife of the late Robert W. Prosser, Sr. Born in Smithfield, she was a daughter of the late Herbert Wilbur and Beatrice (Thurber) Meenan. She lived in North Providence until 1963, and moved to Cumberland, where she resided for 52 years. She was a self-taught X-ray transcriptionist, beginning her career at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, working at Pawtucket Memorial, and retiring from Landmark Medical Center in 1993 at age 67. She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Ashton for 45 years, serving on the Vestry and various committees. She loved a challenging word game and she was a wealth of information for family history. Beatrice loved road trips, following the New England Patriots, and most of all, spending time with family.

Beatrice is survived by three children, Stephen M. Prosser (Robin), of Eden Mills, VT, Barbara A. Semenkow (James), of Lincoln, RI, and Betty Jo Jackson of Franklin, MA; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Robert W. Prosser, Jr (Rachel) and sister of the late Lester Wilbur and Barbara Dalton.

Family wishes to acknowledge the kind and compassionate care provided to Beatrice by the staff of the Holiday. Beatrice loved them as her own.

Visitation will be held Monday June 5, 2017 4-6 pm in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Her service to be held Tuesday at 10 am in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Church in Lonsdale.
