Beatrice Girard

Girard, Beatrice E. (Fusco), 102, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Hebert Nursing Home in Smithfield with family members by her side. She was the wife of the late William L. Girard.

Born in Pawtuxet, she was the daughter of the late John and Lena (Slocum) Fusco. Until her retirement, she was employed by Community Press in Johnston for over 30 years and was a faithful member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church in North Providence.

She is survived by her loving sons, Wayne Girard and his wife Susan and Stephen Girard and his wife Maureen, all of Chepachet. She was the loving grandmother of Julie, Anthony, Richard, and Christopher and the great-grandmother of Anthony, Zachary, and Sean. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Calling hours will be Friday 5-8 pm. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 11 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Requiem Eucharist at 12 Noon in St. Alban's Church. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Alban's Church, 1964 Smith St., North Providence, RI 02911.
