Barbara Forsythe

Forsythe, Barbara A., (Leddy), 79, of Savoy St, died January 20, 2012 at Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of Robert A. Forsythe, Jr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late William F. and Anna B. (Coleman) Leddy.

Barbara was a Licensed Practical Nurse at the VA Medical Center in Providence for 28 years. Following the VA she worked for 10 years for the University Medical Group.

Besides her husband she leaves five children, Robert W. Forsythe of Pawtucket, William P. Forsythe, Sr. of Coventry, Patricia A. Forsythe of Johnston, Debra L. Forsythe of North Providence, and Cheryl L. Russo of Johnston, and seven grandchildren. She was a sister of William F. Leddy, Jr. of Lincoln, Anne Leddy-Smith of Coventry, and the late Bernadine Guilette.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:45 AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Raymond Church, 1240 North Main St, Providence. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours Monday 4-8 pm.
