Butera, Arlene H., 87, of Lincoln, died Saturday, September 9, 2017 at South County Hospital. She was the wife of Salvatore Butera, Jr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Harold S. and Doris (Bedford) Dolbey.
Arlene was a nurse, graduating from the Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing in 1950. She had worked in the pediatric department at the Roger Williams Medical Center. She enjoyed traveling, but her greatest love was her family and friends.
Besides her husband, she leaves her children, Linda Butera Noble of Lincoln, Steven Butera of New Jersey, and Patricia Crispino of Lincoln, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:45 AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Jude Church, 301 Front St, Lincoln. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours are Tuesday 4-8 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hasbro’s Children’s Hospital, PO Box H, Providence, RI 02903.
