Antonio Vessella

Vessella, Antonio D., 94, of Providence, passed away on January 21, 2022 at the Hopehealth Hospice Center.  He was the husband of the late Orsola (Carbone) Vessella.  Born in Italy, he was one of five children of the late Angelo and Giuseppina (Iannaconi) Vessella.

Antonio was a self-employed lumber harvester when he lived in Italy.  Upon moving to the United States in 1974, he worked in downtown Olneyville for a jewelry manufacturer.  He then worked as a mason for AAA Construction before retiring.

Antonio is survived by five sons, Angelo and his wife Maria, Giuseppe “Pino” and his wife Lina, Carmine, Peter and his wife Angelica, and Giovanni; eight grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9-10:30 am, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence.  Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
