Anthony Martone

Martone, Anthony W., 74, of Harris Rd, died April 10, 2011 at the Briarcliffe Manor. He was the husband of Cynthia A. (Harris) Martone. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Espedito and Civita (DiSanto) Martone.

Mr. Martone was a truck driver for Local 251, Teamsters until retiring. He was a volunteer for RI Meals on Wheels for over 10 years and an Air Force Veteran. He was an avid NY Yankees fan and loved going to his grandson's hockey games.

Besides his wife he leaves a son, Steven Martone of Providence, a daughter Tamara Martone and her husband Michael Plante, and a grandson, Nicholas Luck all of Smithfield. He was brother of the late Luigi, Armando, Victor Martone, and Teresa Mero.

Anthony's funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 AM from the ROBBINS FUNERAL HOME, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Our lady of Grace Church, Johnston. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Calling hours are Tuesday, 5-8 PM.
