Anna Pickett

Pickett, Anna C. (Rea), 93, formerly of Smithfield, died March 24, 2012 in Lake Zurich, IL. She was the wife of the late Francis J. Pickett. Born in Smithfield, she was a daughter of the late Angelo and Concetta (Bruni) Rea.

Anna was an inspector for Mine Safety Appliances for 20 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW #2929, Smithfield and a golf enthusiast at the Melody Hill Country Club.

She leaves two sons, Francis J. Pickett, Jr. of Philadelphia, PA and Allan P. Pickett of N. Barrington, IL, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and two sisters, Elvira Ricci formerly of North Providence and Olga Briggs formerly of Smithfield.

The family asks in lieu of flowers; please make a donation to the Alzheimer's Assn. or Breast Cancer Foundation.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday, March 31st at 10 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 4-7 pm. www.robbinsfuneralhome.com
