Andrea Sciarra

Sciarra, Andrea (Andrew), 90, of Johnston, died October 23, 2015 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the husband of the late Lucia (Angelino) Sciarra and the brother of the late Salvatore Sciarra. Born in Italy, he was a son of the late Raffaele and Teresa (Della Gatta) Sciarra. Andrea worked as a jewelry polisher before retiring. A warm and caring person, he enjoyed a good life in the United States, making many friends.

He is survived by his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Angelo and Maria Angelino and Ginetta Sciarra. He was the loving uncle to Alesia Mesiti, Teresa Russillo, Antonio Sciarra, Giorgio Angelino, John Angelino, Gemma Illiano LeClerc, Antonio Angelino, Orsola Angelino, and Giuseppe Angelino, as well as many great nieces and nephews.

Andrea's funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd, Johnston. Entombment will follow in St. Ann Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours Monday 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Special Olympics RI, 370 Washington Hwy., Smithfield, RI 02917.
