Alice Joan Boranian

August 1, 1938 — September 4, 2024

Lincoln

Born in Providence, RI to Pasco V. Micielli and Eleanor (Cunha) Micielli.

Alice (Mom) passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones from both near and far away. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who were touched by her. Words cannot express the impact she made on all of us and words cannot express the gratitude felt towards all those who made her life special to the very last moment.

She held several jobs over time with Mine Safety Appliance as a Quality Control Inspector among them, while her “true life’s work“ was caring for and loving her family in every conceivable manner.

She loved to cook and feed her loved ones and always greeted everyone with a warm smile and an offer of food. She was always the most welcoming and giving person to all she encountered.

She was a parishioner of Mary, Mother of Mankind in North Providence for decades and a devout Christian and Catholic.

Our hearts are broken and much less full with the loss of our treasured and beloved Alice. Mom was the devoted and loving wife of 67 years to Peter; mother to Charles Boranian and Gail; Kenneth Boranian and Wendy; Paul Boranian and Lily; and Peter (J - her “person“ ) Boranian and Angela; whom she loved infinitely and unconditionally, grandmother to Nicole, Kenny Jr., Desiree and Anna and “bonus grandmother“ to Charlie, Jill, Aidan and Gabriel and great-grandmother to Bobby and Aston. She was predeceased by her brother Robert “Bobby“ Micielli and sisters Julia “Judy” Church and Linda Fortini - Neidzielski, and has left behind with eternal love her brothers, George Micielli and Ronald “Ronnie“ Micielli and sisters, Eleanor “Queenie“ Almstrom, Thelma Costello, June Medeiros, Debra “Debbie” Polce , Carol “Cindy“ Micielli and Lori Merrigan, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom were loved deeply and dearly.  She also leaves her sisters and brothers in law Anna Parascandolo and her late husband Anthony and the late Mary and Paul Goshgarian, whom she cherished throughout her life and their children and grandchildren.

Alice went to join her Lord and Savior and those dear to her who passed before her for her eternal life in Heaven. She is now “dancing with her angels“ in Heaven.

Her life epitomized the true spirit of caring, compassion, kindness, giving and love in every aspect and in a measure so rarely seen. Her truest joy was always being with her loved ones, and her loved ones were many.  From the love she felt for her parents and grandparents to the immense love she felt for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and everyone in between, as well as her many dear friends and countless acquaintances, all of whom were quick to recognize the unique nature of her compassion.

It was always unmistakable that she both derived and delivered joy to every life she touched. Nothing can ever fill the void in our lives left in her passing, but she leaves us with the lessons and examples through her life’s actions that will never leave us and will always carry us and be carried with us forever.

Strength in the face of adversity

Giving freely and willingly

Forgiveness, compassion and kindness

Love in abundance

These are just a few of the life lessons that we learned through her was faith was without bounds and never waning in the face of any and all life’s journey and challenges, and there is no doubt she now is with her Lord and her God!! We will miss you immensely, and we will always cherish you and carry you in our hearts forever.  All our love to you, infinitely and eternally.
