Alfred Malo

Malo, Alfred, 90, of Village Dr., died July 5, 2012 at Greenville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was the husband of Arleen (St. Jean) Malo for 69 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Adolphe and Alice (Lefebvre) Malo and brother of the late Raymond Malo.

Al worked for the former BIF for 44 years until retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Francis Council and the Smithfield Senior Center. Al enjoyed everything he did, including golfing, bowling, square dancing, and playing bocce.

Besides his wife, he leaves two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Malo and Elsie St. Jean, a brother-in-law, Ulric St. Jean, and his beloved nieces and nephews, Raymond Malo, Ronald Malo and his wife Judy, Cathy Pierson and her husband Maurice, Janet Eberts and her husband Bob, David St. Jean and his wife Janice, Robert St. Jean and his wife Joyce, Rev. Thomas St. Jean and his wife Dorothy, Stephen St. Jean and his wife Pamela, Kathy Loreth and her husband Michael, and Rosemarie Varley.

His funeral will be held Monday at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Michael Church, Georgiaville. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Callng hours Sunday 4-7 pm.
