Bulpitt, Alfred J., 88, of Greenville, died May 28, 2010 at North Bay Manor. He was the husband of Olga S. (Smith) Bulpitt. Born in North Providence, he was a son of the late William E. and Rosanna (Lizotte) Bulpitt.
Alfred was a supervisor for Bulova Watch Company for over 30 years before retiring. A Navy veteran of WWII and Pearl Harbor survivor, he was a member of the VFW #2929, Smithfield. In 2007, Alfred was inducted into the Smithfield Heritage Hall of Fame.
Besides his wife, he leaves a sister, Catherine Gosetti of Greenville, a brother, George Bulpitt of North Providence, several nieces and nephews, including Edward Kelley and his wife Lucille of Johnston. He also leaves his very special "almost daughters", Marsha Aaronson of Santo Domingo and her sister, Betty Merner of Charlestown.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a funeral service at 10 am in St. Alban's Church. Burial with military honors will follow in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours Tuesday 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Alban's Outreach Program, 1964 Smith St., North Providence, RI 02911.
