Alexander Stephens

Stephens, Alexander, 87, died Tuesday, August 14, 2012. He was married to the late Etta (Graichen) Stephens in 1947. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Fred and Mary Stepancevich.

Alexander was a corporate tax auditor for the State of Rhode Island for 28 years until retiring. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII, serving for two tours. He built his own house on Goat Hill in Smithfield in 1952.

A man with a large heart and great sense of humor, he loved his four children very much. He leaves three children, MSG Fred A. Stephens and his wife Connie, Sonya M. Muscatelli and her husband Deacon Anthony, and Sharon A. Henlin and her husband Dennis, 7 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Karen A. Stephens.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, August 18th from 2-5 PM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial will be private.
